Dear Clergy and Laity of the UACC,

The anticipation for the upcoming General Synod is mounting! We are thrilled to announce that we will once again converge at the picturesque Roslyn Retreat Center in Richmond, VA from June 25 to 28. This year's gathering carries even greater significance as it precedes our Silver Jubilee celebration in 2027, marking twenty-five remarkable years of UACC ministry.

With each Synod, we fortify our bonds, deepen our ministry commitments, and expand our horizons. However, this year holds a special focus on the laity, delving into pivotal questions about how the Church can better serve and empower them. Our discussions will revolve around vital topics such as education in UACC principles, fostering spiritual growth, and guiding the laity into meaningful ministry roles. As our Mission Statement underscores, it's time to empower the laity to embrace their priesthood alongside the clergy.

Drawing inspiration from Ephesians 4:11-12, we recognize that this is a momentous opportunity for collective growth and service. "So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors, and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up." (EPH 4:11-12) Therefore, we eagerly invite each of you to lend your wisdom and active participation in shaping and implementing these transformative educational initiatives.

Prepare for a dynamic General Synod experience packed with enlightening presentations, engaging workshops, inspiring talks, productive business meetings, soulful worship, and well-deserved moments of rest. While we are gearing up for a roll-up-your-sleeves kind of Synod, rest assured it will be an enjoyable and fulfilling endeavor.

As we gear up for this enriching gathering, we welcome your input and encourage you to submit agenda topics that resonate with your hearts and minds. Your contributions will help mold the agenda and composition of the Synod, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued.

We're thrilled to share that we've received generous donations to fund two scholarships, each valued at $200.00, covering General Synod fees for attending laity who have need. These scholarships are open to any non-clergy individual actively participating in a ministry within the United American Catholic Church.
