Welcome, Deacon Karen who has incardinated in the United American Catholic Church. Deacon Karen lives in Williamsburg, VA, and is serving at Saint Joan of Arc UACC in Virginia Beach.
Karen grew up in a large Roman Catholic family, in Coventry, Rhode Island. She joined the U.S. Navy and spent eight wonderful years serving our country. She met and married her spouse, Kirk, while in the service. They’ve been married for 36-years and have two grown sons. They traveled east to west, south to north, and eventually from the northeast to Texas for nine states, and twenty-plus addresses - that’s love!
Karen has a BA from the University of Maryland in Interactive Electronic Publications. Her degree encompasses art, graphics, news media, and public affairs. She is currently working on a Master of Divinity.
In her ‘free’ time, she loves to paint, sew, read, attend bible study classes, and volunteer. She is an avid painter, loves crafting, and spends a great deal of time in her studio. Past and present volunteer work includes teacher’s assistant, team mom, Art & Faith teacher, homeless shelters, food pantries, Elf Louise Christmas Project, U.S. Air Force Retired Recruiters Association, and many, many more.
