Welcome, Father Kenn who has incardinated into the United American Catholic Church. Father Nelan lives in Glendale, WI, and serves at Sacred Wandering Center in Mequon, WI.
Kenn’s journey began in a suburb of Mexico City, Mexico, and San Clemente, California. He felt the call early in life, but his father convinced him to live life for a while. In the early 1990s, Fr. Kenn again felt drawn to ministry and was accepted as a seminarian for a large western Diocese. In 2000, Fr. Kenn entered the priesthood in the Independent Catholic movement. Fr. Kenn married his wife, Jan, on the summer solstice in 2003.
Fr. Kenn received his BA from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee with a major in Latin American, the Caribbean, and U.S. Latino Studies, emphasizing Education in the Latino Community; and a minor in Community Engagement and Education. He received his MS in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Community Counseling and today is a Nationally Certified Licensed Professional Counselor - he works primarily with the impoverished and those who have no insurance.
Fr. Kenn enjoys sewing when he can and working with the homeless, providing social services and mental health counseling. He loves photography, writing, and learning all he can on all kinds of subjects.
